I’m Tyler Thompson, a 6,1 winger for Dallas Texans Academy U16. I am a Sophomore at Grapevine High School in Texas in which I am the top goal scorer on varsity.
I am a versatile player on the field and have been able to play multiple positions in high intensity situations on my ECNL Academy team as well as on varsity soccer. My size and physicality is a big part of my game - I am able to beat out other players with my grit and athleticism when competing. I am always the hardest worker on the field and I always have something to contribute…no matter what. I pride myself on remaining positive while continuously pressing forward with intensity.
I have a 4.8 GPA currently at Grapevine High School and recently took the ACT for the first time and scored a 28 (I plan to continue taking it and improving my score - the goal is a number with a 3 in front of it!). I have been selected as an early identifier for the PSAT National Merit Scholar Program and will be placed in a specialized class next year to gain the highest possible SAT score. I am currently the President of the Grapevine Chapter of the Young Men’s Service League, co-founder and President of the service club Caring Cooks, a state finalist in DECA, and a member of the GHS Student Council. Previously, I played basketball, football, and ran track and cross country.
