Soccer has always been my favorite sport, since I was a child, couple with the fact that soccer is the main and most supported national sport in my country of birth-Cameroon. Soccer is my hobby. It is the only sport that I played with my peers in the neighborhood, at school and in any social gatherings as a form of entertainment. Unfortunately soccer and other sports are not incorporated in the school’s curriculum back home as I have seen here in the United States of America. It would be an opportunity for me to develop and show my soccer talent if I’m given a chance. It would also be an honor for me playing soccer with the most competitive, talented soccer players in college.
Education is the key to success and it is my priority. I did my elementary and middle schooling in Africa-Cameroon. I came to the USA in 2015-2016 academic years and I was enrolled in to 9th grade. Being new in to the system, there were some challenges; that is, adapting to the culture. I work hard in school and currently I am maintaining a GPA greater than 3.5 on a 4 points scale. I plan to study civil engineering in college. My goal is to continue to graduate school of engineering.
I am a team player. I will work together with my team members. I will respect myself, team members and authority as we work toward a common goal. I have compassion for others; I listen and encourage my team mates. When I am with my friends, I listen more than I speak, and I only talk when I have something positive to say. I do welcome corrections and positive criticism because it will help me to be better; hence, one of the best soccer players in USA.
