I really started pushing myself junior year of high school when I got injured the last game of preseason , right before district, which caused me to sit on the bench and lose minutes that season. I promised myself I would come back stronger and better because I had to prove that I was worthy enough to step foot on that pitch again. My father gave me the love for the sport as a kid, I would watch soccer teams play on TV on Saturday mornings with him. Ever since, I’ve always had the eagerness to touch a ball. Through the sport I’ve learned that in order for me to be at a certain level, I have to get myself there because nothing is going to be given to me easily.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be on a very good high school team. We treat each other like family and want to help others get better. I’m looking for a program that’ll make me feel like I fit in and share a common goal. A program that is willing to work for their goal and get it done. I know I am able to compete in a college team because of my determination and work-ethic and I’m positive I’ll make an impact in the program.
