I am very interested in pursuing a bachelor of science in civil engineering at a high ranking university. Civil engineering is a excellent fit for me because I enjoy and excel in math and science and I love to solve problems. I am very good at analyzing every situation when it comes time to make a decision, I think about every possible outcome and then decide the best course of action.
I excel academically. I hold myself to an exceptionally high standard. If something does not make sense in a class, I first recognize and admit the fact that I am having trouble and then I take the appropriate steps, whether that may be asking a peer or instructor, for help. Being gifted intellectually, when I see that one of my peers is struggling with the material, I offer my help.
I have enjoyed soccer all of my life. I am skillful athletically, have excellent ball control, and my vision on the field sets me apart. I have the ability to predict what the opposing player is going to do. Not only do I see the play before it happens, but I also vocalize it to my teammates to ensure that the team is successful. In every game, I am fully committed to the success of the team. I am a very unselfish player who looks to maintain possession. In addition to my unselfish style of play, I am good at deciding when I have to pass or move the ball rather than dribble or shoot.
I am also a leader in the community. I have held multiple leadership positions; for example, recently I have been volunteering for a program called Special Reach which is a camp for children with disabilities. I am in charge of recruiting volunteers at my school. I have also been an Eagle Scout since 2017 and have held a high position of youth leadership in both of my troops since 2015.
