Personal Statement
My name is Henry Rosalbo, I am from a small town in Vermont and attend a small school, where the determination to play at the collegiate level is little to none. My community gives little support for my athletic goals, this gives me the challenge of having to look outside the box to reach out to coaches and make contacts so that I can still achieve my athletic and academic goals.
Ever since kindergarten I've wanted to play professional soccer and show my friends and family I could do it, it's always been my biggest goal, and I would do anything to achieve it. When I was in 8th grade and got pulled up to play JV I realized I would have to set smaller goals in order to achieve my bigger goals. Playing at the college level would give me the team, resources, opportunities, and coaching to show what I stand for on and off the field. It would also give me the opportunity and be a part of a team where every individual loves the game just as much as me, which is something I've wished for ever since elementary school. I think being committed to academics is crucial to being a part of any high level team. I love the challenge of school and I strive to be the best in the class even when I know I struggle in that particular subject.
My competitive mindset makes me a player who strives for goals, assists, wins and the ability to be as involved in the team as I can be. As a varsity soccer captain I do my best to make sure I communicate with my team, and make sure everyone has a positive mood and mindset. I am a confident player who has speed, agility, and strength on the ball and off the ball to score goals and give my teammates the best goal scoring opportunities I can.
