*MY TAP RESULTS DO NOT HOLD TRUE
I’ve played every sport there is in America at one point or another and I’ve quickly realized soccer is the sport that takes many years to master. Being that I have only played for a year, my technical skills lack during drills but during a game you’d never know that I just started playing. Regardless of what I do, I can be outskilled but I will never let someone outwork me. I’ve been recruited to play football on the college level but I played soccer this past year and I quickly realized nothing has came more natural to me in my life. I’m working on my technical skills as a keeper and would like to do pursue playing for a college with Aerospace Engineering as a major of choice. Despite my short time I believe I can play on the top level with the top players. I am a natural athlete and can build off of that foundation. I am also the most hardworking person I know behind my mother and once I put my mind to it, I am certain that nothing can hold me back. Looking back on it, my family is of Latino descent so I don’t know why it took me till now to realize I should have tried taking on soccer seriously. The sport resonates on a different level with me for its unique form of sportsmanship, level of commitment it takes to get better, and the love I have gained by simply playing it. Our team’s record doesn’t serve it’s players justice by any means. I was recruited by the soccer coach who was the kicking coach on the football team. He liked my size and wingspan along with the fact that I played wide receiver for a good amount of years. I’m beyond thankful for what the sport of soccer has done for me already and I’m doing what I can to continue pursuing soccer in my college career.
