Dillon Sears '23 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I learned to walk, I have been kicking around a soccer ball.  My parents both love soccer and were sure I was going to love it too, and they were correct. My entire childhood was surrounded by many soccer games. I played soccer on travel teams, rec leagues and in school. I played Varsity Soccer for Stonebridge School in Chesapeake, Virginia for 5 years. Currently, I am ranked #2 in the Metro Conference, #6 in the Virginia VISAA DIII State Division, and #10 in the state of Virginia for goals scored. This year, I am an All-Metro-Conference Player and All-State VISSA Division III (First Team).  My dream is to play soccer in college and get selected to a semi-pro or pro soccer.

Since I began, I have played every season in high school except for my 10^th grade year due to COVID-19. I have played various positions to include Forward, Center Mid, and Center Back. I played for Western Branch Soccer Club (9 years) and Churchland Soccer Club (1 season). Occasionally, I had the opportunity to play as a guest on teams where players were two to three levels above my age group.

Throughout my years playing soccer, I learned a lot about myself.  I recognized that I have a natural ability to be a leader both on and off the field and I am a true team player.  One of the qualities I have that I believe equips me for leadership is my ability to communicate effectively on the pitch.

Lastly, I am dominate with either my left or right foot.  I can strike anywhere on the field. I am ready to be apart a great team. Please consider me to be a part of your program!
