My name is Wilson Hetrick, I am a junior at Jefferson Forest High School in Forest, Virginia. I have played soccer the majority of my life and it became my goal to be the best at age 11 when I first stepped foot in the goal. I began playing club soccer at Sparta United in Salt Lake City Utah, and am now competing in the CCL in Virginia at VBR Star Soccer Club. I began getting involved in Virginia's Olympic Development Program in 2017. I have gotten the opportunity to compete in multiple countries and states in the world that give me a perspective on the game other players don't have to offer to your team.
My most memorable accomplishments include -
- 2019 VA ODP International Tour, Holland, Germany. I was selected to go overseas to play German clubs and academies.
- 2019 Gothia Cup Trip with Club Team. Traveled to Gothenburg, Sweden to compete in the World Youth Cup, finished in the round of 32's in the B Bracket. Over 1700 Teams from 80 different countries came to compete and I got to interact with many different players who have an amazing love for the game.
- 2020 Generation Adidas National Cup Champions. Competed with Club team in Midlothian Virginia, ultimately became champions and lifted the trophy.
- 2021 IMG Boys Cup Invitational, Competed with club team against top clubs and academy teams in the US in Bradenton Florida.
I envision my college years to be full of growth both academically and athletically. I strive for great success in the classroom and even more on the pitch. I am looking for a college that is the right fit academically and athletically. I have played soccer my whole life in different states around the U.S. and in a handful of countries overseas. I have a view of the game that many others do not. Soccer is the top priority in my life and future.
