Having played soccer since age 7, I have fallen in love with the goalkeeper position. I have consistently trained and played this position competitively, with my ultimate goal of hopefully playing in college. To achieve this goal, I am determined to continue to train daily as I do now, play in my travel club and in my high school team, and most importantly, maintain academic excellence to succeed no matter what college I attend. I've had to learn to persevere through medical and athletic challenges during my life, such as living with type-1 diabetes and succeeding as a goalkeeper. Despite challenges, I've been able to maintain a 4.4 weighted GPA, earn a spot on the East Coast regional ODP team, and have met and exceeded all the rigorous requirements expected of me in the Air Force Junior ROTC program at the military school I attend. As a goalkeeper, I find my greatest strengths are my organization and communication skills both on and off the pitch, my tactical ability to understand each play in real-time, and my desire to learn from my coaches' feedback to implement instruction into my game. When I reach the collegiate level of soccer, I want to be a source of motivation and a positive influence on whichever team I represent. With continued effort and discipline, I sincerely hope to be an asset to the team I play with.
