Dustin Tietjen '13 Recruiting Profile

   My biggest goal is to play competitive soccer for as long as I possibly can and my next step in fulfilling this goal is to play collegiate soccer. It has always been my aspiration to enter a career in the culinary field and one day run my own restaurant.  My current plan is to major in Hospitality while taking certain business courses to assist me in this endeavor. 

    I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember.  I began at the recreation level around the age of six years old.  To date I am playing competitive travel soccer for Virginia Rush Peninsula in Hampton, VA.  I pride myself in my dedication to staying fit, perfecting my technique and being a strong leader.  I play competitive soccer in the fall, high school in the spring and during the summer I compete in a sand soccer competition in Virginia Beach, VA.  Along with my full soccer schedule this fall I am attending many college showcase tournaments with my competitive team from Virginia Rush Peninsula.  I can play anywhere on the field but I enjoy playing center midfielder the best.  I have a good sense of the game and can see where the ball should be going.  Additionally I have, for the most part, been on my own with my soccer career which has made it very difficult to obtain good video that adequately showcase my skills and feel for the game.
