Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Matthew Do, and I am a rising senior at Midlothian High School (class of 2026). I play for Grove United Academy where I compete in the UPSL premier, NPSL and USL Academy leagues at CDM/CM/RB/LB. Before joining Grove United, I played for Richmond United Academy/ECNL for 4 years. Also, I was invited to the US soccer YNT ID center in Greensboro, NC in March 2022.

Apart from soccer, I am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, and I have taken on various leadership positions at school, including 3 years as class president for a class of 450+, and peer leader for Sources of Strength.

I love to be challenged both on and off the soccer pitch and I look forward to finding a college where I can test and improve myself to the fullest.
