Personal Statement
I have played soccer since I was in Africa and every time I stepped on the pitch I wanted to be the best. I wanted to be the best in our camp, on our block, I wanted to be the best. When I came to America in 2007 I brought my competitive spirit with me, every little game that I played I wanted to win because nothing felt better. When I first came here I didn't play soccer for any clubs because it was to expensive and plus I didn't know how to apply. Once I got into middle school that's when I played for my first American soccer team. I didn't play my 6th grade year because I had broken my wrist. My 7th grade year I came back stronger, not letting anyone pass me in the midfield. Then their was this one guy who was very crafty and that's when my competitive nature grew more, I would never let anyone outshine me. Next, I played Junior Varsity when I was in 8th grade, I scored 5 goals that season as a holding midfielder to help my team become the best. My freshman year in high school I played Varsity and I helped my team go all the way to regional championship. The fall of 2017 I played for the club known as Roanoke Star I score 5 goals to help my team win the Kroger cup and also I helped my team have there first winning season.
