Lucas Caldas '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lucas Caldas and i am a rising junior at Dominion high school in sterling, va. I have been playing soccer my whole life, and have been in love with soccer ever since i have started. I was fortunate to grow up in a household of hard working parents, who migrated to the country as 20 year olds to pursue their dream. They both are my greatest inspiration as they teach me that hardwork and determination are the key to do anything in life. I am also very fortunate to have their full support in my soccer career. During my career i have managed these accomplishments

• 5x Virginia ODP state selection
• 3x Region 1 ODP state selection
• 2x International ODP squad to go play european teams 
• 4x Jefferson Cup winner
• USYNT training camp invitee 
• Varsity starter and top scorer as a freshman
• Ibercup 2018 finalist 

All of these accomplishments i couldn't have done without the people that support me. My parents push me to strive for the best, so that is why i am the earliest to training and the last to leave the session. I work as hard as i can to succeed as a player on the pitch. My parents also push me to be the best in school, i take all honor classes and 3 AP's, so i push myself and don't settle for average. I have a 3.8 gpa taking difficult classes and pushing myself to strive for greatness. My collegiate goals are to continue to push myself and develop as a player, and as a man. My aspirations are to go pro, and keep working on making myself greater everyday. I am a team captain and a leader, during tough times i shine, but also make sure that the team shines as a unit.
