As the son of a military officer I was always taught how important it was to define your mission. My mission is to attend a college that provides me the best possible education while competing at the highest level NCAA Soccer has to offer. I want to measure myself against the best players, and I believe I can compete with anyone in the country.
I have been blessed with a handful of great coaches from the very start of my soccer career. From first grade on, I was trained by coaches who played in La Liga and who were trained by La Masia; FC Barcelona's Academy system. My training has always focused on Barça's style of play, emphasizing passing, receiving, possessing, and controlling the ball at the highest technical level. Several of my coaches over the years have told me I am the best technical player they've ever coached, and I take great pride in playing soccer with the high level of technical skill. I learned from some of the very best trainers in the world.
I have also had the great privilege to play on the top-ranked youth team in the state of Virginia and had the opportunity to play internationally at the Mundialito ("The Little World Cup") in Portugal and Spain. At the Mundialito, I had an opportunity to play against the best youth academy teams in the world including Liverpool, FC Porto, and Real Betis. I was able to compete right alongside all these great youth players. Through this experience I learned what it takes to play at the highest level and I want to continue to push myself to do so in my collegiate career. When FC Barcelona officially opened up one of their eight academy programs in the United States in 2018 it was a natural fit for me, and following the age group change (I have a December birthday) I tried out and was invited to play on their top 2003 team as a Freshman. We have played at the Disney tournament and are scheduled to play again in Spain next summer. Our club is quickly climbing Virginia state rankings.
I believe I have elite cardio-endurance and the athleticism to play at the highest level, which I hope you can see by watching my videos. I have been clocked as low as 4.4 in the forty yard dash (consistently timed under 4.6), and I am going to be one of Oakton High School's (enrollment 2,800) Varsity point guards in basketball this year. When I was younger I broke a 20 year old school record for the endurance Pacer that I continue to hold to this day. While I am still just under 6 feet, I can slam dunk any ball I can fit my hands around on a 10 foot basketball hoop. Although I was a three sport athlete for much of my life, I am now focusing on bringing my athletic experience and leadership to the collegiate level in soccer. Please take a look at my videos and reach out to me if you are interested in having me attend your school.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my ambition to play NCAA soccer.
