Hi ! My name is Douglas Anderson Calderon (I usually go by Anderson but I don't have a preference) and I will continue to pursue my passion for soccer throughout my college life. I have played soccer since I was 4 years old, I love the game and I strive to be the best wherever I go.
Switching gears, a bit of my soccer background includes playing for the 1st team of my home clubs; the Warrenton Youth Soccer Club (WYSC) and Fauquier County Soccer Club (FCSC) up until the 2017-2018 season. I sought to compete at a higher level therefore, I chose to play for the Northern Virginia Soccer Club (NVSC) starting the 2018-2019 season up until the 2021-2021 season. I played my first year on the B team and my next two years on the A team of NVSC. During this time, I was not only playing for NVSC, I was a player of the Olympic Development Program (ODP). From the 2018-2019 season until the 2020-2021 season, I played 3 years at the district level, (Northern Virginia District ODP), 2 years at the state level (Virginia State ODP), and one year at the Regional level (East Regional Coast ODP). I was chosen for a third year of State ODP but I decided not to accept because Covid-19 was far more serious during this time and the safety of me and my family was priority. I also played for my high school varsity team (Fauquier High School) during the 2020-2021 season as a starter. I chose not to play for my high school soccer team during my freshmen and sophomore years because I did not like the coach who led the team, the coach was replaced and a new one came in for the 2020-2021 season. I am currently playing for the Springfield Youth Club (Soccer Youth Club) as I also plan to start my ODP journey once again.
My best and current position that I love playing out on the pitch is the 7 (right winger) position and the 9 (striker) position being my second best position. Some noticeable above-average traits I give off out on the pitch is my pace (with and without the ball), soccer IQ, mentality and physical condition.
