My name is Alieu Diaw, and I will be a 2018 graduate from Blaine High School in Blaine Washington. I was born in the smallest country in mainland Africa The Gambia.
I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old. For me soccer is a family tradition. Everyone in my mother's side of the family played soccer at some level. However, the person who inspired me the most, is my uncle who joined Watford academy at the age of 16. Later on, played for Southampton. He even caught the eye of Harry Redknapp who offered him a professional contract at Portsmouth becoming the first Gambian ever to play in the Barclays Premier League. He currently plays for Wealdstone FC. My Grandpa also played for the Gambian national side, I guess you can say it runs in the family and we have a great deal of passion for the game.
This messege doesn't even cover how excited I am about college, and to play at the highest collegiate level, yet still get a world class education I need for my professional life. I am a very dynamic and fundamentally sound player I can fit into any soccer program and any coaching style. I can also play anywhere in the field. My strongest positions are being a Striker/ Attacking Midfielder. I can also adapt to any playing style. I am very vocal on the field, I also have a strong presence in the field. My mother stresses about education a lot so, I keep in mind that education is incredibly important. I have an interest in Law, so that's what I am going to pursue in college, might change my mind but currently thats what stands.
I would consider my self very lucky just by you taking the time to view my profile. Thank you for.
