Leonai Van Putten '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Leoani Van Putten. Ever since I started playing soccer at the age of 4 I have loved the grass underneath my cleats, the team spirit, and the beautiful game itself. Playing soccer in college is my main goal, I am confident in my skills and know I can bring something special to any team. My main position is a defensive box to box midfielder. I am special because I am not only a tenacious, strong, and intelligent defensive presence but I also add a lot going forward. This year I scored 7 goals from outside the box, and provided 4 assists. I am extremely dangerous  around the edges of the box, and specialize in free kicks. I also pride myself in my passing ability, I can consistently pass short, find key passes through gaps, and play exceptional long balls. Yet although my offensive abilities are powerful my defensive tenacity and intelligence are exceptional. I am not afraid of anyone and am willing to put in a strong assertive tackle. Lastly I am also a strong  presence of leadership on and off the field. I was the Captain of both my club and high school team my junior year and will do the same next year.  I love this game and will work endlessly to play it at the next level. Thank you for your time.
