Personal Statement
My name is Kincaid Sund, I am a junior starter at Edmonds-Woodway high school and I play for Seattle United B06 Copa. My primary position is center back but I am a versatile defender that thrives anywhere in the back line or midfield. I am passionate about leadership as a full IB diploma candidate. I have a 3.99 GPA and push myself equally as hard in my training and in my school work. My goal is to play soccer in college at a high level while also attending high-level classes that challenge me and set me up for a successful future. I am ecstatic about what my future holds and am prepared to face whatever challenges it takes to achieve success. I believe my greatest strength in life is my mentality which pushes me to grow and face every challenge with determination and a growth mindset. I have really focused on my mentality and I believe I am a very strong leader on the field, I believe in constructive criticism and winning as a team.
I am a part of ASB and have held many leadership roles inside school and on the field. I am also a part of DECA recently qualifying for DECA internationals as a first-year club member. I enjoy business, international relations, leadership, and entrepreneurship. My club team won state cup last year and was a finalist this year. My high school team won our regional league and made it to the final 4 at state. I am a starter, playing almost every minute this season, and scored the winning goal to secure my high school its first league title in 20 years. Outside of school and soccer, I enjoy playing other sports, coaching my little brother's rec soccer team, volunteering, working out, and taking care of my family. I believe in pushing myself to be better every single day through reading self-improvement books, practicing my values, and constantly reflecting on myself and my goals. I work well on teams and always have a smile on my face.
Thank you, Kincaid
