Mubarek Abdi '22 Recruiting Profile

What makes me a good candidate for this team is my unique perspective. I was born and raised outside the united states in Ethiopia. I moved here in my junior year of high school. Where I come from soccer is played in a different way. Even though I grew up to a different style of soccer, it didn't take me much to completely adapt to the style of soccer here. I am used to changing environments and the field is no different for me. I will bring the firepower and knowledge I got from playing different Environments to my college and teammates. I will show that soccer is played with the brain. Playing as a central striker, my biggest strength is my ability to read the game. My off-the-ball movements and positioning have opened up defenses both here and where I came from. I'm always open to learning something new. while adapting to US soccer I also kept my academics on point. scoring almost all A in my classes while taking the most rigorous classes my school can offer. I can play for the best teams and stay dominant while dominating the classrooms. I am hungry to dominate and cant wait.
