Currently I've played at the high school and club level, and it's been so enjoyable and competitive, and I'm really chasing the next level in college soccer. Both my parents and my older brother played soccer in college, and I'm very interested when I research colleges and teams and my recruitment process, it's always an exciting job for me.
I've had great inspiring captains during my high school years, and I've taken what I've learned to try to be the best captain I can for my team. The biggest thing is leading by example, on and off the field. I stay calm and collected, I stay coachable, and very positive and lift up my teammates always, but also keep them accountable and working hard.
Especially as a center midfielder, it's important I stay fit, I'm always running in the off-season and even do track in the spring. One of my struggles was, during track season in Spring 2022, one of my lungs spontaneously collapsed while running. For about a month, I wasn't able to do any lifting or running, or any form of exercise. However, I didn't let the setback affect me, as I learned the importance of eating healthily and when I recovered, I immediately broke my own personal records in my track meets.
