I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old. At a very young age, I didn’t know how much I would end up loving the sport. But, over the years, it became my favorite sport. By middle school, it was my sole sport and my passion.
I love soccer, because the hard work I put into it usually pays off. Of course, I love to win and make goals but there’s more to it than that. Even when we lose, I take pride in what I accomplished as an individual player and what we did together as a team. I’ve learned to always give my best effort, so that I can be the best soccer player possible. My leadership skills are improving as well. As a high school varsity soccer player, I make the players around me better by staying positive even when the score isn’t in our favor.
This hard working attitude carries over into my school life. I strive to be a good student by getting my homework done on time and studying hard for tests. So far it has paid off and I usually make the honor roll. I plan to do the same in college. I would like to learn about the Business World along with playing collegiate soccer.
Playing soccer in college will keep me disciplined on the field and off. When I keep my body in top condition, it also helps my brain function at it’s best. My goals are to play college level soccer and earn a Business degree. After that, the sky is the limit!
