As a freshman being selected to the varsity team, I learned how to remain humble throughout the ups and downs. I first started playing soccer at age 4, by the time I was in 5th grade I started playing goalkeeper and found a passion for it. Making the varsity team helped me focus in on what I want to achieve in soccer. I was able to prove that I am capable at playing at a high level starting half of the games my freshman year and even playing the second half of the sectional semifinal as a sophomore. As a junior I switched club teams and joined FC Wisconsin, one of the best club teams in my state and I was able to play up with the U19 RCP team and I gained a lot of experience and knowledge of what it takes to play at the next level, even though I only had 4 high school games my junior year, being able to play club allowed me to play very strong competition and challenge myself to become a better player every day. I learned about myself that the time I put in outside of practice will directly correlate to how I perform in game.
Being half Italian, I've always loved soccer because it brought people together. Having gone to Italy and France and been able to witness firsthand how seriously soccer is taken in Europe motivates me to bring the same level of professionalism and intensity to my game. In high school I want to achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher. Having played three sports I know what it takes to make an impact and I feel that my character and willingness to succeed will make me a strong addition to your team!
