I started playing soccer at the age of 4 and since then I fell in love with the game. Ever since I first touched a soccer ball I knew that I would want to play soccer for as long as I possibly could.
On the pitch I keep calm and composed. I work as hard as I possibly can for each and every game no matter the conditions or the opposition. I am tenacious and I can easily adapt to in-game situations. If a tactic isn't working I try my best to work around it with my teammates. I am also a team player. Each game and practice is an opportunity to learn something new from a teammate or coach, so I am always looking to improve as a player and as a teammate.
I value my academics very much and I try just as hard in classroom as I do on the field. I take my academic responsibilities very seriously and challenge myself with harder or more advanced classes. Some of the characteristics I get from playing soccer translate into the classroom such as my problem-solving skills, communication skills, my great work ethic and positive attitude.
At the end of the day, soccer is my life. On the weekends I watch the Premier League and root for my favorite team, Everton! I play pick-up games at my local soccer fields. Many of the role models that I look up to are soccer players. I am simply happy when I have the ball at my feet.
