I’m Garrett Morris, a soccer player from Powell, Wyoming. I began playing soccer at the age of 3 and fell in love with the game. I started playing for a Rec team in Middleton, Idaho and when I moved to Powell, Wyoming, I needed to be challenged on the field so I started playing for Heart Mountain United. This team challenged me as a soccer player and showed I was a great player! After a few years, I was asked to play for the Wyoming 307 team. In 2017, I guest played for the Washington Timbers 03 team and I was called up to play for the Westside Timbers Academy team. Freshman year of high school I started varsity and led my team to the state championship for the first time in Powell High School history. We came up short to a 2nd place finish.
I have a love for the game of soccer and I want to go far in it. My goal is to play Division 1 and eventually go pro. I push myself to be the best so I can reach those dreams!
I am a holding center mid (6). I am a very intelligent player and I’m always arware of my surroundings and looking for the next pass. I’m a great passer. I break lines or switch the point of play. I also have great footwork. I can beat a defender 1v1.
I excel not only on the field but off the field. I have had a 4.0 GPA throughout middle school and first year of high school. In 5th and 6th grade I went to KEY camp at Casper College in Casper Wyoming. I was also a Big Horn Basin Knowledge Bowl participant in 2018.
