2021 SpotlightWith the few months left before going into college, many aspirations and goals are still weighing on my soul. With the support of many friends and family members, they give me the motivation to aspire and set goals for swimming. As a child, summers were spent swimming and competing with a variety of swimmers across California. It has given me aspirations and the determination to become a better swimmer. In high school, this has help in decrease my times and receive recognition /awards. This type of competition, has brought new light onto the subject of becoming someone that wants to change for the better and become a faster swimmer.
A variety of years that were filled with laughter and fun experiences were also filled with teamwork and cooperation. The use of teamwork/ cooperation brings the aspects toward becoming a better teammate and classmate. With having to work hard for everything especially that of technique, there comes academics and athletics training. To maintain my performance in both school and out of school, it has required me to make sacrifices especially spending time away from others to train or to enhance my abilities/ academics. To feel unhinged toward academics, I take multiple AP and honor courses to stay above regular students. Similar to athletics to academics, I want to experience a challenge that will require me to push myself, working toward a better grade or performance in the end results.
My determination, aspects to change, and that I will not quit makes me a perfect candidate for your university team. Even if completed correctly, I'll try to find better or new ways to perform easier or quicker, and remember to help teammates in academics or athletics. Making myself stand out is that I have the persistence to maintain change. To change for the better of myself or my future teammates. I look forward to attending an university that will accomplish a career and complete my goal of swimming competitively.
