Over the years of my swimming career, I have learned two things that value the most to me: having fun and putting the work in to have fun. Although swimming can sometimes be a drag, going up and down the pool over the course of two hours, I try to stay focused on the big picture and push through the obstacles that inhibit success. I am constantly seeking improvements on my stroke and attitude in order for me to become the best athlete that I can possibly be. I am not that person who keeps a straight face at all times, but a person that does the right thing at the right time. When it is time to compete, I am focused and ready to hit the pool, but when it is time to have fun, I am not one who settles by being awkward. I have my dreams and goals, and I don't plan to settle any less of what I have set out to accomplish.
