My swimming career has already taught me many life lessons and given me opportunities to grow not only my athletic acumen, but also mental strength, team work, time management, and leadership skills, all of which will continue to provide me a competitive edge both inside of and outside of the pool. I have applied these skills I’ve learned in the pool to the classroom as well, and have been able to succeed academically while taking the initiative to lead group discussions and lead presentations for team-based classroom work.
I look forward to continuing to grow both athletically and academically at the collegiate level, and am looking for a coach and team that will support me, and where I can provide support to my teammates as well, at that next level. The career that interests me most, physical therapist, is tightly entwined in sport, health, nutrition, and fitness, and am looking to match up with a college and team that values all these aspects of sport and wellness as well.
Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect for the diversity of viewpoints, values, and backgrounds that help us all learn from one another, build strong teams, and achieve lofty goals, and in a manner that reflects well on the team, the coaches, and the school that I attend.
