100m Breaststroke...I began swimming lessons when I was 6 years old. It was not until I was 11 when an instructor pointed out my athletic ability to perform strokes with ease and precision that I became interested and wanted to pursue swimming on a competitive level. I have always been an athletic and driven person (Hockey Club Team and Rep Lacrosse) but swimming has allowed me to learn the value of teamwork, commitment and leadership while developing me into a dedicated athlete and student.
My love of swimming has also pushed me to earn my National Lifeguard Certification which I use as an Assistant Coach of the Dolphin Level (pre-competitive) swimmers for the Oshawa Aquatic Club. I believe I am a strong role model for kids of any age and my leadership and passion for the sport makes them excited to swim!
Academics are extremely important to me. I have earned Honour Roll status every year in high school. My goal is to maintain those high academic standards throughout Grade 11 and 12 and carry this into post-secondary schooling. I am interested in Computer Engineering and will finish high school with a Specialist High Schools Major in Information, Communication and Technology.
I am a determined individual who demonstrates an elevated level of commitment with daily swim practices and high-achieving academic studies. I am prepared to compete at the collegiate level and will bring this determination and strong work ethic to your school.
