I have been a year round three sport athlete since I was 9 years old. I played on Multiple Travel Baseball Teams (WDM Lynx, PG Longhorns, and Team Iowa), Tiger Select Football, as well as being a State & Regional Champion in swimming. I received the 2012-13 Waukee Rays Award of Excellence given to the male and female state and regional qualifier that best demonstrates the YMCA's core values, team leadership, high academic standards, and unparalleled dedication to their teammates. I was also named District Athlete of the Year during my Sophomore swim season and Elite All-State Track that same year. Being a year round athlete in several sports requires a lot of time and dedication but it has taught me that I must manage my time wisely. Even though I practice 5 days a week and compete on weekends during most of the school year, I have maintained a high GPA and made the Honor Roll consistently. I look forward to continuing this practice throughout my High School and College careers while participating in the sport that I Love.
