My name is Quinlan Schroeder, my best event is 100 breast. I started swimming competitively when I was nine years old for my school, Mount Kelly in Devon, England. My coaches were Josh Norrie and Robin Brew (Olympic record holder and 1984 silver medalist in 200 IM). In 2018 I moved to America and started swimming for Riptide Swim Team, Minnesota, where I've been swimming ever since. My coaches here are Michelle Hopewell and Mike Parrato. I'm also a member of the Rosemount High School Swim & Dive Team... (Go Irish!), under the guidance of Jake Kemna, Emily Gabriel and Jeff Nelson, where I've been swimming at varsity level since freshman year. Both programs have produced elite athletes and I believe I have what it takes to make a D1 college swimming team. My target is to be State and NCAA Champion for both 100 and 200 breast, breaking a few records along the way.
As you look through my profile you will see how, over the last couple of years, I have shown constant time improvements on all my strokes. I want to build on this solid foundation by continuing to improve my times and achieve my goals. I am both ambitious and driven. I will do what it takes to reach my goals. I have already won back-to-back Section titles, medaled at both high school state and club state in my events as listed in my profile. My greatest achievement to date is when I won the Minnesota State title in the 200 breaststroke in 2023. In addition, I broke my high school's 11 year school record by going 57.02 in the 100 breast and my next target is 53.86, which is the AA State record. Ultimately, I want to become a triple section champion and state champion in high school state for the 100 breaststroke. I enjoy training, not just in the pool, but also in the weight room and hanging out with teammates.
I cant wait to talk to coaches, tour campuses and find a college that I can call home.
