As a student, I wish to obtain a degree in the agricultural field, preferably agronomy and/or horticulture as well as chemistry. As an athlete, ever since I have started swimming it has been a dream to compete at the collegiate level. Finally as a person, I wish to not only become a team mate and friend of people who share the same passion, but to become a better person. I have always been a leader, both on the pool deck and the classroom. I have been selected to travel to Chicago to attend a LEAD Conference where I learned how to become a more effective and efficient leader. I have grown up with my brother who has Trisomy-21 which of all things taught me to be a more understanding, patient, and selfless person. In addition, I always look on the bright side, whether this be lightening the mood with humor, or keeping a good attitude even when the outcome I get is different from what I expected. As a recruit I believe what sets me apart is my ability to adapt quickly, which has also helped me in the classroom as well as the water.
