My goals for college include getting into veterinary school in the future. As an undergraduate though I plan to attain a degree possibly in biomedical sciences or biomedical engineering. While working on my degree though I wish to continue my swimming career. I have been swimming for 8 years and it has become a big part of who I am. My strength and determination in and out of the pool are what set me apart from most. My slight of size in the past has pushed me to perfect the technical aspects of swimming. I continue to take time off and am excited to continue to develop and grow in the sport.
I injured my left shoulder in October of 2017, after I had originally completed this profile, that is why there are no updated times for this year. I underwent surgery in December and am now cleared to start training again. I have regained my range of motion and am now just working on regaining my strength and endurance. I hope to be stronger and faster than I was prior to my injury. Right now I am just taking one day at a time.
