Hello coaches! My name is Santino, and I am the third child in my family. I am the first generation of my Filipino family here in America. I have three other brothers: 19, 17, and 14. I am currently 16 years old and a sophomore at my home town New Milford. I am currently in honors geometry with a 3.8 gpa. I play in my high school orchestra and have done 17.5 hours of community service. I have been swimming since I was 6 years old, and I have spent most of my time with the Ridgewood Breakers in Ridgewood, New Jersey. My best event is the 100 free, with a time of 49.85 in the short course. I love the sport of swimming, and I find it impressive how much potential I have with my short build. Swimming has had a significant impact on my life and taught me life lessons, hardships, and skills, to the point where I have made swimming my personality. My goals for swimming are to make sure people know who I am, and I want people to acknowledge who I am. I want younger swimmers to look at me as a role model and someone they would like to be when they grow up. I want to prove to people who have doubted me that I am capable of putting my name out there. Though I may not have the best build for a swimmer, I have still powered through my adversity in order to prove to everyone that you are capable of doing anything possible, regardless of what is holding you back.
