Hello, my name is Devin Fay and I am currently a senior at Lejeune High School in Camp Lejeune, NC. I am a proud member of the graduating Class of 2022. Both my parents are in the Marine Corps, which translates to a very active lifestyle. I am a passionate, competitive, hard-working person. When given a goal, I strive to achieve it. I am a team player and know and understand that there is NO I in the team. If a teammate is messed up, the team is messed up. The team is a success or a failure as a team not as an individual. I am and always have been my worst critic.
There are challenges when you are in a military family and though it hasn't always been great, those challenges have assisted me in being able to overcome things that others might believe are unbearable. I am resilient and able to work with what I have been given. I feel that those traits will be a real asset to whatever team I am a part of now and well into the future.
I have been a very active person my entire life, participating in all kinds of activities from baseball, soccer, triathlon, running, football, martial arts, swimming, track and field to name a few. After high school, my next step is to attend a college in either Florida or North Carolina majoring in Athletic Training AKA Exercise Science. I wish to one day be able to not only help others in their sports goals but also share my love of fitness and a healthy lifestyle. I have never been nor do I believe that I will ever be a shirt, tie and sit behind a desk type of person.
I would love to be able to not only study athletic training but hope to also be an athlete myself during my college experience. Though I have been active in multiple types of fitness, in the last few years due to the pandemic I have been focusing on both my running and swimming. These sports seem to be the ones that have not been really affected. I feel that I could not only study in a field that I am truly passionate about but once I have earned my degree I could assist others in finding the love of everything fitness.
