Hi, My Name is Ben Williams. I'm a junior at West Davidson High School. I have been swimming for well over 10 years in a recreational summer league but have also swam for my high school team for all 3 years as a breaststroke specialist. I have recently sparked an interest in swimming at the collegiate level as I made the Central Carolina Conference All-Conference team and was able to swim in the state meet as a junior. During my junior season, I also placed 7th in the NCHSAA 1A/2A central region meet which allowed me the opportunity to represent my school in the NCHSAA 1A/2A state meet where I placed 22nd in the 100 Breast. I have built my entire life on a strong core of moral values which allows me to push myself beyond expectations in the pool and in the classroom. These values allow me to be a great teammate and leader as I have now been Varsity Captain throughout my sophomore and junior year. In the classroom I continue to push myself by taking on a rigorous course load and excelling with all A's, which has allowed me to maintain a 4.0 unweighted GPA and 4.38 weighted. I also make time to volunteer through school clubs, my Boy Scout troop (of which I am currently working on my Eagle), and my church through mission trips and a local outreach missionary program that feeds the homeless and allows them to receive the word of God. I plan on pursuing a career in the medical field by obtaining a degree in biology and using swimming as a stepping stone to guide me through college. I would love to have the opportunity to represent your school in the pool, as well as in the community and the classroom. Thank you
