My name is Tristan Jankovics
I am interested in General Science/ Electrical Engineering/Accounting . I strive to be a good student and take school very seriously. I am graduating high school in the spring of 2022. My grades are averaging mid-high 80's.
I have been a competitive swimmer since the age of 5. Qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials at age 15 in 200 LCM backstroke and 400 LCM IM in March of 2020 , that was supposed to take place in April 2020 in Toronto, ON, but unfortunately Trials got postponed because of covid. Even though swimming was put on pause for months, I kept in shape by doing dryland -, and weight training and running. I am excited to have been back in swimming for a few months and just had my first competition this past weekend and also competing at Ontario Junior International Championship on dec9-12, 2021.
I'm not only training full time with the Wellington County Waves in Guelph, ON, but also driving 100km one way 3 times a week to train with the Ontario Swim Academy , under coach Don Burton. This requires waking up at 3:30 am , to be at the pool by 5am . I train till 7:30 , then drive an hour to be in school for 9am . I am extremely hard working and dedicated. I just competed at Canadian Trials this past week in Victoria, BC, and qualified to represent Canada at the Jr Pan Pac games in 2022.
