I began to swim at a very young age. In my youth, I had tried a variety of different sports. I found that I naturally seemed to love swimming more than everything else. It was when I first swam competitively that I realized the potential I had. From there I decided to dedicate my time, skill and devote myself to swimming.
Throughout my years of swimming, I discovered that I was very social and I was making peers to both encourage and compete with. I found myself meeting new friends and being determined to compete with them regardless of them being older, or having more experience, and I determined myself to surpass them. My future goals are to keep up my academic performances and to grow my talents in swimming by progressing to reach standards beyond my reach. Many know that sports aren’t a simple task. Swimming takes up all of one's energy, time, and a large amount of concentration. However, I have overcome this difficulty and am able to balance my athletic life as well as my academic and personal life all at once. I have a drive to accomplish my goals, and I find a small part of me that won’t allow me to quit without giving my best until i finally reach my goal.
