Personal Statement
I am very dedicated and committed to the sport. Swimming is not a high school sport in South Dakota, so I travel 100 miles round trip every day to practice with my club. I participate in high school cross country and track as well. If I had more time during those seasons, I believe I have potential to drop more time. I have only swam year round for three years. I started swimming as a seasonal swimmer at age 12. I am 6'3 and young for my class. Most of my SCY times are from last winter where I was only 16 years old and prior to all closures. There has been little opportunity to compete since but I have been lucky to practice daily since June 1.
I believe swimming in college will help me continue to be a stronger individual. I am dedicated, hard working and coachable. I am interested in Nursing as a career.
