Dear coach,

My name is Juan I. Fuentes, I have always had a passion for swimming and I'm excited to continue growing as an athlete at the collegiate level. I strive to push my limits and grow to new heights as a swimmer and always aim to achieve my goals both academically and physically. I currently attend Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute where I have been taking college level courses since 9th grade. I am committed to maintain a high GPA even though these are highly rigorous classes, I do my best to maintain a balance in academics while also keeping up with my sport and family life. I have been swimming since I was 5 years old and have only attempted to try and push my swimming capabilities even further by joining a competitive swim team for Safe Splash in Grand Prairie. After school, I am also part of a student’s club which has allowed me to participate in a robotics competition for NASA. I have played the piano for almost 3 years and continue to improve every day since I take weekly lessons. I also attend church regularly with my family to uphold my faith and values. I believe this balance and my passion for swimming is what sets me apart from everyone else, I am focused on achieving success both academically and athletically.
