Alexander Johnston '21 Recruiting Profile

A year and a half ago, swimming became the most prominent thing in my life.  My Dad had orders, and the only thing I could think of to stop it was swimming.  I decided that I would throw my life into swimming to get recognition from the military, which sometimes makes exceptions for high school students with high achievements, to delay orders.  I was unsuccessful and heartbroken, but after I moved I discovered that swimming meant everything.   It was the only thing from my home, Hawaii, that was the same.  Now, swimming is my home, and I am working to become the fastest swimmer I can to leave my mark on the school I attend.
