Josiah Tanguma '23 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to play collegiate level tennis because I love the game and want  to keep improving and increasing my knowledge. I look forward to playing in the team environment where I will be a leader and great teammate. I am my high schools tennis team captain and number 1 singles, in my junior season, I lead our team to our first winning record in 7 years.  I want and expect to win, so I take leadership and push myself and peers to become the best we possibly can.  

Being a student council member at my school, has helped me develop leadership skills. I also coach tennis at my local tennis club where younger kids look up to me because I set a great example, and have had success working on my game. I try to be a great leader on my team and in my community and have high expectations for myself whether that be on or off the court. 

I hope to find a college team/coach that pushes me mentally and physically to achieve success at a very high level.
