Tennis is the reason I get up every morning.
My junior year I switched from Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS (Parkland, FL) to an online school to focus more on my tennis training. I train daily in South Florida in a small, private group for tennis, fitness, and match play. My UTR is currently a 7.65, after starting this year as a 5.60. I earned my first star on TRN and was number three on February's Lotto Elite Hot 100 list. I live in one of the most competitive tennis environments in the country, and the tough competition in South Florida only makes me a stronger player.
My greatest assets on the court are my forehand and tenacity. I always run every ball down and try to get at least one more ball back. I know tennis is both physical and mental. I thrive on being the underdog and outworking everyone else. I'm a strategic player and I fight to the last point.
I have a 4.21 GPA and I finished my junior year with straight As. I have taken honors classes since 8th grade and I have been a member of the National Honor Society since my sophomore year. I'm also currently taking a dual enrollment Psychology class through the University of Pittsburgh. I'm interested in studying psychology in college.
When I am not on the court, I volunteer for an organization called Love Serving Autism. This organization teaches children with autism how to play tennis and the importance of teamwork. I have worked with them for five years. It always makes me happy seeing the kids get interested and invested in tennis.
I'm looking to join a competitive team where I can make an immediate impact.
