I am Ali Elsamahi, I have played tennis since the age of 5 years old. Ever since I put a foot on the court it almost seems like I can't get off of it. I play a lot of tennis with my coaches after school improving my game everyday and even sometimes really early in the morning before school. I have a very well-rounded game, and my biggest strengths would be my forehand and my serve. Since the serve is 50% of the game I have a tough one to return and my height just adds on to that. Playing in college would be a great opportunity for me to compete and prove myself.
In school, I maintain good grades and I study very hard to maintain my grades. I participated in the DECA business program for my school last year and look forward to this years activity. I have volunteered in helping coach a 10 and under tennis youth camp in the summer of my 8th grade year. Last year I volunteered in helping the 57357 Children's Hospital in 6th of October, Egypt. It feels really good to go and help the people back home in Morocco and Egypt and give back to my roots.
I would love to have the opportunity to play college tennis. It would allow me to push myself at what I do best and push me academically. I am open to all colleges and want to find the right college match for me at the highest level there is possible. I hope to keep improving, set an example for my brother, and ultimately to make my parents proud.
