I’ve been doing track and field for 5 years and also cross country for 4 years. One thing I can say is that from the moment I put on my first pair of spikes, I knew the sport was a perfect fit for me. It is a great way for me to see how hard I can push myself on and off-season and then see how the work pays off in the races. I will continue to grind to improve my times through college. One thing that makes me different from a lot of runners is my range in terms of different distances, but I see myself primarily as a 400/800 runner. In regards to education, I would like to work on a science major so that I can attain the prerequisites necessary to pursue a career in sports medicine. In that way I could combine my two passions: competitive athleticism and medicine.
