I’ve always wanted to compete at the collegiate level, that was my plan all throughout high school. Although, 10 months ago I underwent a hip arthroscopy to repair a torn labrum. I lost a lot of confidence because I was recovering slower than I was planning, then to make matters worse I injured it again downhill skiing. During this season’s track and field, I’ve been working hard strengthening the surrounding muscles as well as stretching.
I’m continuing to shave times off my season PR for the 3200m; with my newfound confidence and continued resilience, I’m know that I’m a good candidate for collegiate track and field and cross country.
