Jump Training Wit...Sophomore year, I joined track just for conditioning for basketball, but making the regional championships my first year made me rethink my sport. High jumping is where I aspire to be great at because I wanna inspire other shorter people to jump. People from Kodiak are scared of the jumping events, and I show them how fun it is to do it. Especially at my height. I'm the best high jumper in Kodiak as of now. My coaches love how I always look for the little details in my technique, and say that I've been the most technical jumper they have seen in awhile. The attention to detail I've helped myself with has grown knowledge for other jumpers and including my coach. In practice seeing that I can get my whole head over 7', and half of my head can go over 8’. My vertical is high, but my technique is the one thing I'm fixing. Then, for sure I will go higher. I got 2nd in the Brian Young Invintational meet. (I only get less than a month's worth of practice during the 3 month season)
