Personal Statement
I plan to pursue a career in medicine; and while choosing an undergraduate atmosphere and program that will best prepare me for medical school is my top priority, finding a school where I can participate as a member of a cross country (and possibly track) team and continue to improve as a runner is also a significant focus. I have a demonstrated history of balancing a rigorous academic load with a full running schedule, and I hope to continue the same at the college level. I have worked hard to improve each year of high school, and am confident that if given the opportunity to train with faster runners at the next level that I will continue to improve. My coaches will tell you that I take coaching well, am a good teammate, and show up every practice ready to work. I hope you will consider what I might bring to your team.
