Personal Statement

I am a hardworking, competitive athlete who has been running since 4th grade. I have never ran a non-varsity race throughout my high school career despite being a part of a high level program. I also had the amazing opportunity of winning an Arizona State Title as a team in XC during my Freshman year (I am now working towards individual titles). But what sets me apart is my extreme confidence in my own abilities. Long story short, I like to win and have become accustomed to it.

P.S. My 5000m time in Cross Country is 15:53 and was run at Nike Desert Twilight on October 2, 2015

Are you in honor classes?

Yes. I have always challenged myself by taking honors courses freshman and sophomore year. I have taken Honors Geometry, Honors English 9, Honors English 10, Honors Biology, and Honors Chemistry. I also took Honors Algebra 2 in 8th grade. I received A's and B's in all of them.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. I have recently began with my first AP classes during my Junior year. I am currently taking AP US History and AP Language and Composition. I have gotten good grades in both thus far and plan to improve from second semester. I also plan on taking AP Biology and AP Calculus next year.

Awards and Activities

ActivitiesI am an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America scouting program. This is an achievement that took lots of work and taught me many life skills. I can also play the piano (took lessons for 5+ years) and a little guitar. I also have a job at a local business called Playformance. It is a day care/summer camp establishment where I help teach kids how to be healthy through exercise and play.
