Personal Statement
My unique ability to adapt and overcome challenges in sports, life, and academics has given me a vision of what it takes to be successful. I believe that hard work, dedication, and going the extra mile are what gives me a leg up on my competition in school, as well as in athletics. God gifted me with the ability to run fast and it's what I love to do.
My goal after high school is to attend a college where I can be successful, both academically and as an athlete. I’m at my best when I am challenged both mentally and physically. “ If you tell me, I will listen. If you show me, I will see. If you let me experience, I will learn.”-Lao Tzu.
The most ideal place for me athletically is to be a part of a team that is pushed by their coach to be their best. A coach that respects open communication, encourages the team and individuals to challenge themselves never feel defeated. In such an environment, I am inspired to give everything I have, every day, and to work hard to achieve my goals on and off the track.
