What makes me more adequate then any other candidate here? To be frank with you guys, I am still very young, and youth in sports whether it is track and field or basketball is risky to bet on. It can be something that is advantageous, due to the athlete’s capacity to grow and be molded into the proper athlete they need to be. However, it is equally as risky due to the uncertainty of success.
Personally I believe I am an athlete that should be betted on because of my inexperience. Some may say inexperience is a fault, but in my case I believe otherwise. I am currently in grade 9 ( competing in u18 outside of school because I was born December 16 2007) moving towards my second year of track and field. At the start of my journey almost a year ago today (currently May 14), I was competing unattached with a PB of approximately 5.50m. As of now, I am competing with the Golden Ears club with a PB of 6.35m. Over the course of a year I’ve Improved by nearly a meter! This season I’ve increased my PB by 23cm (ended on 6.12m last year) with a little over a month of competitions.
I know this is asking a lot, but I ask to please believe in me when I say I will not disappoint. Currently my goal is to enter Legion with the BC Team as a U18. To reach my goal I will need to improve by 23cm, and I WILL make sure I achieve this goal! Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
